Banque Richelieu France, a private bank with a presence in Lyon for more than 20 years, is pleased to announce the appointment of Laurence Lenepveu as Head of Wealth Management, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. Based in Lyon, she will be responsible for accelerating the bank’s private banking development in this strategic region while leading a team of 10 professionals.

With more than 20 years of experience in wealth management, Laurence Lenepveu will leverage her expertise to serve entrepreneurs and high-net-worth families across the region. In particular, she will advise clients on strategic corporate finance transactions and treasury management, while further strengthening Banque Richelieu France’s presence and service offering in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

Laurence will build on the expertise of the existing team based at the Grand Hôtel-Dieu offices in Lyon, as well as the capabilities of Richelieu Banking Group, an international banking group headquartered in Paris and specializing in wealth management and asset management. The Group operates in France, Monaco, Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates (through its sister company) across three core business lines: wealth management, asset management and investment banking.

“Laurence combines deep expertise with a thorough understanding of the challenges facing entrepreneurs and families in the Rhône region. Her leadership will be a key driver in delivering our growth ambitions across Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes,” said Aurélie Tristant, Head of Private Clients and Member of the Executive Board of Banque Richelieu France.

“I am delighted to devote my full attention to a region I know well—one distinguished by its diversity and unique economic dynamism,” said Laurence Lenepveu, Head of Wealth Management, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. “Each territory within the region presents its own specific opportunities and challenges. Our clients—experienced and discerning business leaders—are often navigating major strategic milestones such as business disposals, succession planning or retirement. As a pure-play wealth management firm, our role is to support them with agility, turning each challenge into an opportunity.”

Laurence Lenepveu holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Université Paris II and a diploma in Management from CIDES. She began her career in 1988 as a Portfolio Manager at CAC Conseils, before joining BRED in 1990 as a Corporate Relationship Manager. In 1993, she became an Assistant Vice President at Citibank.

She joined HSBC in 1997, where she successively held the positions of Portfolio Manager, Financial Engineer and Head of Wealth Market Development. Before joining Banque Richelieu France, she served as a Private Banker at Indosuez Wealth Management (2014–2017), followed by a role as Senior Wealth Advisor (2018–2023). She joined Banque Richelieu France in 2023 as Client Director, reporting to the Paris office.

This appointment reflects Banque Richelieu France’s strategy of strengthening its support for entrepreneurs and families across the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region by providing tailored wealth management and financial solutions designed to address their growth, liquidity and succession planning needs.
