Richelieu Banking Group continues its growth momentum and announces the appointment of Jean-Marc Ribes as Chairman of the Executive Board of Banque Richelieu France.
Richelieu Banking Group has experienced strong growth since its creation and now manages €8 billion in assets under management, with a 24% solvency ratio. The Group currently comprises two private banks (France and Monaco), an investment banking subsidiary (Richelieu Corporate Finance) and two asset management companies (Hugau Gestion and Richelieu Gestion). With strong growth ambitions, 2025 marks the beginning of new development opportunities.
With nearly 40 years of experience in the banking sector, Jean-Marc Ribes has built an outstanding career, characterized by strategic achievements and a consistent ability to address the industry’s challenges. He has led numerous ambitious transformations and implemented key initiatives to strengthen the positioning of his previous institutions in the high-end private banking segment. His expertise in risk management and his strong ethical values have enabled him to build lasting relationships of trust with clients and stakeholders.
Jean-Marc Ribes is also a decorated banker, having been awarded the rank of Officer of the Légion d’Honneur in recognition of his commitment and values of integrity and excellence. He is a strong advocate for disability-related causes, actively working to promote inclusion and support for people with disabilities in the workplace and beyond.

A graduate of a Diploma in Commercial Techniques (DUT Technique de Commercialisation) and the Institut Technique de Banque, Jean-Marc Ribes began his career in 1984 at Banco Popular Español as a Corporate and Private Client Relationship Manager.
In 1986, he joined Union de Banques à Paris, where he managed the Neuilly-sur-Seine branch, overseeing portfolios of private and corporate clients. He then joined Banque de Neuflize (ABN AMRO Group), where he successively served as Head of the Branch Network (1990–2003) and Chief Executive Officer of Banque NSM Entreprises (2003–2007).
He subsequently became a Member of the Executive Board of Banque Palatine (BPCE Group) and a Member of the Supervisory Board of Palatine Asset Management (2007–2014). In 2014, he joined La Banque Postale as Head of Private Clients, Chairman of the Executive Board of Louvre Banque Privée (formerly BPE), and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Louvre Banque Immobilier Conseil.
